Sundays: what to expect

Our time together feels transcendent as we worship our Triune God who is Lord over all history, and yet warm and unintimidating as we delight in his love for and nearness even to us. 

We’re here to celebrate, proclaim, and feast upon the limitless love of Jesus Christ. Doing so, we stop our work and our hurry so that we might rest in his finished work.

God is with us, and he is our home.

On your way in, we’ll hand you a bulletin containing everything you’ll need to know about how to proceed through the service.

  • Please come as you are! There is no particular way you need to dress to worship with us, and we hope every person feels comfortable and at ease no matter what they’re wearing. We don't expect anyone to dress formally, and you'll find a wide range of clothing on a Sunday morning.

    If you're simply wondering what is typical, jeans are probably most common. Most men will be in button-downs or polos with jeans or casual khakis, while most women will be in jeans with a blouse or casual dresses.

    Don’t worry about dressing a certain way to fit in—just come comfortable and ready to worship.

  • Parking is available in the fenced lot across from the church on Ivy Ave. Families with strollers or anyone needing a handicap-accessible entrance are welcome to park on the north side of the building and enter through the nursery door, beneath the overhang.

  • Care for children ages 6 months through Pre-K is available from beginning (rooms open at 8:45 am) to end of the worship service. Children in Kindergarten-2nd grade will be invited upstairs to Small Saints during the service and will return for communion.

    We invite parents to relax! All childcare is optional. Children are welcome in worship—no matter their age or capacity for sitting still. This is God’s house, and all are welcome with no exceptions.

    Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me.” Therefore, let’s all be sure to welcome children in such a way that they feel church is as much for them as it is for the grown-ups. The presence of children among our congregation is a gift.

  • A private Nursing Mothers’ Room, with comfortable chairs and a changing table available, is also upstairs, down the hall to the right, through the first door on the right.

    Downstairs, a changing table available for use by all families is in the restroom along the Nursery/Toddler hallway, first door on the left.

  • If at any point you and your child would appreciate more space and privacy, our Wiggle Room is up the stairs at the back of the sanctuary, first door on the right. You’ll find a few toys and a door you can close while still being able to see the service below.
